BECOME A STUDENT

We welcome students of all abilities, whether you're a seasoned textile artisan or setting your hands on a loom for the first time. See the calendar for our    Foundations Weaving classes,  Alumni Weeks, Guest Instructor classes and Special Workshops.  Find details about pricing, lodging, Scholarships and registration below.

 Weaving Classes 
 

New students enrolling in a Foundations weaving class (regardless of prior weaving experience):

  • Five day session—$750 plus materials.

Returning students enrolling in an Alumni class.

  • Five day session—$750 plus materials.

Weekend Weaving Workshops

  • $300 plus materials.

Dyeing & Spinning Classes 

​

  • One day—$200  plus materials

  • Two day workshops—$400 plus materials

  • Three day workshops - $600 plus materials

  • Four day intensives—$800 plus materials.

HOW TO REGISTER

 

To register for any classes or workshops, download thRegistration Form and fill it out specifying the class and dates you're interested in.

Mail or email the form back to us at Info@MarshfieldSchoolofWeaving.org. All applications must include a $150 deposit. The deposit can be paid with a check made out to The Marshfield School of Weaving or with Paypal (add 3 %) to our account at :  info@marshfieldschoolofweaving.com.  Your place in the class will confirmed once the deposit has been received.

The balance of tuition is due on the last day of the class and  materials costs will be added in at that time.  The balance and materials can be paid with cash, check, or Paypal (3%  fee).

SCHOLARSHIPS

 

We are happy to announce the availability of scholarship money to help offset the tuition fee through our non-profit institution - The Marshfield School of Weaving Study Collection. Click here for more information on scholarships.  

LODGING

 

Students are responsible for making their own arrangements, but we are happy to offer suggestions. In addition to the list below there are many wonderful local airbnb's.​

LOCATION

 

The Marshfield School of Weaving is located in central Vermont, an hour from the Burlington airport, and less than half an hour from downtown Montpelier and Route 89. Our studio address is:

589 Eaton Cemetery Road

Marshfield, Vermont 05658

Please note that this is different from the mailing address. While we welcome visitors to the school, please call or email ahead to schedule an appointment.
